The round French movement strikes the hours and half hours on a blued steal coiled gong. It has a mercury temperature-compensating pendulum. The back plate is stamped with the maker's mark, VINCENTI Cie Médaille d'Argent 1855 and serial number 6090. The 3" cream enamel dial has Arabic chapters with a fine fast slow adjuster above the number 12 and blued steel spade hands. The case is gilt brass with 4 bevelled glass viewing panels (one has a small chip to corner). Vincenti started his factory in Montbéliard, France in C1823 and closed C1870. Good working order.
